ABOUT BEYOND FYRE
Our story is that of everyone. A journey through life, learning how to grieve, how to recover and how to live again.
Rafan House Clinic told us that they have spent many years nurturing people through mental health difficulties. More recently the number of people struggling with the second loss around moving ashes of the those they love from the cupboard/mantlepiece/kitchen to the earth has increased dramatically with changing practices. Children are saying how disturbed they are by the presence of urns of people they know in a household. But what to do with them? Can you let go? What ritual to accompany the scattering to the earth? Even if you do find helpful ways, can you get your family together again, sometimes long after a death has happened. The moment of urgency to gather dwindles.
Beyond Fyre was created in response to people telling us about the struggles they are having. We are here to help you to let go, to organise others, to decide the ritual, to find drinks and food to gather everyone near a place they feel is sacred, blessed and tended into the future.
Our ceremony with pre-set dates or private dates to suit you, with the ritual, family domes, ash scattering, and wake - give an easy way to organise things for a larger family. The structure around the loss of the ashes back to the earth, the loss of the person – yet again for some - helps the hurdles that exist and prevent people moving forward.
Our shop offers beautiful handmade artisan wares, from local craftspeople and many of the elements come from the wood itself. These soothe the souls of the living, bringing memories linking those in death and those in life, yet allowing the person to rest in peace back in the earth and those still here on earth to move and live more abundantly.
Welcome to our woodland and to our hand chosen gifts to help with the grief and the recovery.
